Answers

1) Because it turns out the co-worker might be knocking down cases, but he’s also a bit sloppy in his filing. He put the wrong date on all seven of the cases he served that day. Whoops!

2) Well, he explains that if she had served him first she would have been much much better off and probably would have gotten 50% … and so she offers him 10% of that aka a million dollars. Which he jumps at.

3) Some rich-person gym, where naturally he’s ogling all the ladies, which sets Hurley off and everything is ruined because now Gordon knows they are trying to serve him first. After that he mostly heads off to various cities. The name of the game is to keep moving … but not too far, he’s got a big deal to make.

4) Well, first, he sends him to Miami by calling up the Marriott there and booking a room for Sara Moore. When his co-worker breaks into his house (which he knows he will) he redials the last number which is the hotel and thus the trick is in. Secondly, once Joe thinks his co-worker will just about be there, he calls the hotel and tells them if anyone asks for Sara to redirect them to the Marriott in Bangor, Maine. And finally, when they meet face to face in the Dallas airport he sneakily “orders” tickets to Armarillo instead of Durango, so when he comes back he thinks that is where they are going.

5) Well, he recruits Gordon’s mistress to trick Joe into thinking she wants a cut of the deal. But here’s the thing: he didn’t set his watch back. He served her at what he recorded as 7:04PM, but really it was 5:04PM and so they have two hours to reverse the result. Chasing him into a Monster Truck rally will they get him in time? … Of course they will duh.

Bonus Answer: You best believe it’s Gordon Moore, but before you hang up … hear him out. You see, after the divorce Gordon realized his mistakes, and now, well … he needs their help. In addition to being a cattle baron, he also naturally is a part owner of a high end tequila business with Rooney LaForge (ever heard of him?). But he’s heard through the grapevine that they are selling and looking to shed dead weight prior to the sale to bolster LaForge’s take. They’ll buy him out, and he’ll get screwed. There is no way to serve LaForge though since he is currently hiding out in Mexico until the sale is complete. The plan then is: Joe and Sara disguise themselves as successful wine producers looking for an investment. They go down to Mexico, scope out the sale situation, and then sell them on the idea of a quick sale for their Vineyard. LaForge, needing some liquid cash to buy out Moore, will be too tempted by the opportunity and return to the U.S. where Joe will then have LaForge sign over 50% of his stake and then serve him with papers forcing the need for Moore’s signature on any sale document. Et voila. Moore will get his rightful 50% stake, and secure himself against a hostile takeover. But … can Joe and Sara pull it off? I guess you’ll just have to wait and see.Obviously it is called Serving LaForge and while the legal case might not be the tightest thing in the world, the obvious caricature of George Clooney performed by Matt Damon will be met with a standing ovation at Cannes.
