‘Ello everyone! On man, so get this. I was on the bottom of the ocean (natch) mining my ore (natch) when a big mutant fish thing attacked and tore all my friends to pieces! Luckily, I just suffered a blow to the head and a massive concussion. I don’t remember a thing. Do you remember what happened in Leviathan?

1) So they are mining ore on the bottom of the ocean, and they are real close to hitting their quota, it is awesome. Except, that one of the guys has a leak in his pressure suit and looks to be dying. They do eventually save him, but it would have been a lot better if the Doctor wasn’t fake golfing (or whatever) and had been in the control center during the incident.
2) Well, he’s a geologist. One of the best around. The company hasn’t been hitting their quota on ore, and so they brought him in and he’s all like … yeah, I can get ore. I’m the best in the biz. Just pay me some bucks. So he’s basically down on the bottom of the ocean to make cash so he can do his real geologisting on the surface afterwards.
3) The doctor on the other hand was a hot shot who thought he just knew everything. And so he created some sweet medicine that, well, wasn’t so sweet. Instead it killed a bunch of people in the trials and he was blackballed. Now the only job he can get is on the bottom of the ocean doing nothing when in reality he’s a great doctor. Hope nothing medically happens while he’s down there…
4) Vodka. It was an experiment by the Russians, and Leviathan was merely the test bed. They seemed to maybe want to mutate humans into something better, but instead they created The Thing. In order to get the Russian sailors to take on the mutating solution they put it in some vodka, and then one of the miners stole a flask and drank some.
5) So to mine the ore they fill up carts and then big balloons / ballasts are released to bring them up to the surface to be collected. They just use some of those … I guess don’t worry about The Bends?
Bonus Answer: WRONG! You kidding me? This guy is the best geologist in the world. Who is that lady? Some corporate suit? A dime a dozen. And I don’t see any quota being hit. As a matter of fact, I see one very expensive underwater mining station that just exploded. You want to ever geology again? Well, you’re going to be mining on the ocean floor for a long time big boy! That’s where the long time coming sequel kicks off. The now 76-year-old Peter Weller is still on the bottom of the ocean mining his little heart out, but his debt to The Company is almost up. He’s used all his mining skills over the past 30 years and the operation is quite something. There is a veritable underwater city of mining, naturally called Mining City. And who is mining right alongside him? That’s right, the daughter he had with Willie. But something odd is happening. An incident occurs where Willie Jr. should have died out on the ocean floor, but inexplicably she survived. This gets Weller thinking … but no, could it be? It is! Willie Jr. is part Leviathan. At some point in that incident 30 years ago either him or Willie must have been contaminated in some way and it was passed on. But it didn’t hurt Willlie Jr. All it did was make her … better? She can survive the ocean floor, breathe underwater. It is amazing! But this, of course, was just what The Company was searching for! Now it is a race against time to get Willie Jr. off the mining rig, back to the surface, and safely away from the prying hands of The Company who want to do experiments on her. And they’ll do anything to get to her … even release their own modified Leviathan strain on Mining City! Da da da!
It is called Leviathan 2: Free Willie. Hard-R, don’t show this to children despite the name.
