Answers
1) It comes from the board itself. There is a popular misconception that it is the word for yes in French and German smushed together. But the reality is apparently the creator used the board to name itself … which probably means that it is just the two yes words smushed together and he’s a liar.
2) We talking Catskills? That must be Dirty Dancing (2017). Abigail Breslin plays the Jennifer Grey character, but then the Swayze character is played by *checks notes* Colt Prattes who has made a decent career of doing television movies and bit parts on shows.
3) Y’all don’t know Tough Enough? About an aspiring country singer who, to earn some money, enters a Tough Man competition. Sounds ridiculous. I can’t wait to watch it.
4) C’mon, you know she is in Top Gun. And it is an abomination that she wasn’t asked to reprise her role in Maverick, but I guess they just don’t love audience callbacks.
5) This surprised me, it is São Paulo, Brazil. Cairo is the other city with over 20 million people. But yeah, Rio de Janeiro would have been my thought, but that is 20th. The first American city is New York City, which is 11th.
Bonus NYTimes Listing Answer: It was also release in the UK with the subtitle “The Demon”.
I guess that is what it says on the tin, but the film is way way funnier as 3-D without any obvious 3-D effects.
