1) During an episode of At the Movies Breakin’ is reviewed alongside Hardbodies, Sugar Can Alley, and a 1984 Stephen King adaptation starring David Keith, Martin Sheen, and George C. Scott … fine there is an actual star of the film, but I’m not giving you her name. What is the film?
2) Ice-T is in the film. Looking at his discography outside of the rap charts he really never charted on the Top 100 outside of two songs. One is called New Jack Hustler which was for the soundtrack of New Jack City naturally. The other is a song for the soundtrack of what film directed by Dennis Hopper, and starring Sean Penn and Robert Duvall as police officers?
3) The director, Joel Silberg, wasn’t done with dance films after this. He also made a film about a dance style from Brazil that is often called the Forbidden Dance. What is the name of the film and dance style.

Answers
1) Firestarter, it’s that twisted Firestarter, eh eh eh, oh oh oh. Yeah, George C. Scott plays an native american who is giving off real creeper “I’ll do this one job … but you have to give me custody of the child afterwards” vibes which Martin Sheen is like “you know I’m just insanely evil enough to agree to that.” Don’t worry, Drew Barrymore just blows everyone up in the end anyways.
2) The film and the song are called Colors. Not so fun fact, Sean Penn was arrested on the set for punching an extra and was sentenced to 33 days in jail for the assault. Apparently, the film has been blamed for increased gang violence in Belize. Look it up, it is on the wiki page.
3) That would be the Lambada. Apparently it was just super sexy with women wearing short skirts and thongs while dancing. Makes sense. There is also a movie called The Forbidden Dance as well, both of them came out in 1990, and in the film Ski School (1991) they also refer to the Lambada, the Forbidden Dance during one sequence. Man, 1990, what a time to be alive.
4) Hmmm, well there are only so many John Derek/Bo Derek films to choose from. If I could remember which was which (tough), I would have guessed Bolero though which is correct. The main reason is because Olivia d’Abo is in it, nude, and 15 years old … you heard that right. John Derek was an insane person. So yeah, I wouldn’t have released it if I was MGM either.
5) Popping? Locking? Nope to either of those. It is freezing. Which makes sense if you’ve watched breakdancing at all. The is the other thing they do a lot. Freeze after a power move in particular.
Bonus NYTimes Listing Answer: You know that is Star Trek: First Contact. Good movie, one of the better ones, the New York Times has it wrong.
You should also remember that James Cromwell played a character called Zephram Cochran.
